I'm back, I'm back!

Alright I know. It's been almost a month since I've posted last, but I am happy to be back into the swing of things. Things just suddenly became really busy and sitting in front of my computer to blog seemed to never fit in. In honor of my month long hiatus, I am going to share with you my month in instagrams.

A light dusting of snow.

sugar cookies.

A Christmas date with the husband.

Gifts wrapped and ready for travel.

A wonderful evening with friends.

Driving to my parents in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas!

Helping a friend with wedding decor.

The couple's first dance.

The wonderful ladies I got to spend the day with.

House & Pet Sitting for my parents.

Visiting my favorite little man.

Finishing up a year long project.

Snow.

Back home.

Well, there it is. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to get back on a regular posting schedule again.

Merry Christmas to You and Yours

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everylasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Christmas Photo Adventure

Last weekend at my parents' cabin we finally took some pictures for our Christmas card. We had to do it in the morning before we left on Sunday, so the sun was quite blinding with all the snow on the lake. The wonderful part was that it was so warm out that standing without proper coats was no big deal. I can handle with 40 degree winter weather. My mom took all the photos for us. Thanks mom for putting up with my awkwardness of being on the other side of the camera for once and Ben's inability to keep his eyes from squinting. Here is a good selection of the photographs below, but the photo we chose for our cards is not included. You'll have to wait for that ;)

Here I Am!

Wow. Where did the week go?

I was just watching a news story this morning that showed how this woman had decorated her entire house for Christmas. I am not talking about the usual stockings, Christmas tree, and wreath...every single inch was covered with Christmas decor. They start decorating in October, and after Christmas is takes five weeks to put everything away. Just thinking about this story has caused me to realize two things.
1.) I would feel claustrophobic in that house. Seriously, I can handle a little clutter, but all those Christmas figurines would smoother me.

2.) It is amazing how Christmas decorations (in moderation) suddenly make any room feel more cozy.

I was browsing through blogs and etsy to get a little inspiration for my own Christmas decorating...

I will put up some photographs of my own Christmas Decorating as soon as I get my camera back...I didn't realize I feel so helpless without it.

So my promises are the following...

more photographs
more posts

as long as I have....

more time ;)

Thanksgiving Preview

Rumor (and the news) has it that we are expecting a blizzard starting tomorrow into Thanksgiving. I feel out of the loop since I have not been watching the local news lately...

So I perused the weather report and discovered that a winter storm is expected, but for some reason I doubt that it is really going to be that severe (and trust me I will freely admit if I am proven incorrect). I guess I will just have to wait and see. I do not have to drive anywhere too far so the snow can come if it so chooses.

A local campus even canceled classes tomorrow, but not my school.... still going strong ;)

On other notes I have begun to think of Christmas Gifts...making Christmas gifts to be exact. There are so many things I wish I could make but I have a feeling time will not allow for too many projects.

At this time I don't want to share too many specifics, but I have a feeling some hot chocolate will make things progress much faster.

Practical? Of course not! Cute....yes.

Christmas: Round One

On Saturday my friends and I had our first Christmas party together. It is weird to think that we have become so close in less than a year. We did a not so secret "secret santa" gift exchange and made a delicious meal together. We also further worsened our "wii shoulders" with a few games of golf. Here are some pics from the night...

Christmas BEFORE Thanksgiving

mmm....It's hard to do Homework when a tree waits to be decorated. Good thing we got to put up a tree this weekend at the cabin. A little early (usually thanksgiving is as early as we go)...but we couldn't help ourselves. Here is a pic of the tree...or at least an ornament.
